BTS on Sophie Paterson's Mood Board Masterclass Series

Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of sitting down with renowned interior designer Sophie Paterson to record a masterclass for The Mood Board, her members-only community for interior designers.

We’re excited to share that our episode on branding will be launching soon!

The session focused on the role branding plays in the growth of an interior design business. From positioning and perception to websites and customer experience, we explored the often-overlooked decisions that shape how a business is seen, remembered and ultimately chosen by clients.

Having worked with interior designers for many years, we have developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by businesses within the industry. From established studios looking to evolve their positioning to emerging designers building a brand from the ground up, our experience has given us a valuable perspective on what helps interior design businesses stand out in an increasingly competitive market.

Throughout the masterclass, we shared practical insights drawn from our work with designers, discussing the role of brand strategy, visual identity and customer experience in building a business that feels distinctive, credible and commercially successful.

Having previously worked with Sophie on of her own rebrand, and later being trusted to create the brand identity for The Mood Board itself, contributing to the platform's educational content felt like a natural extension of the partnership.

The Mood Board was created to support interior designers at every stage of their business journey, bringing together industry experts to share practical advice and real-world experience. To be invited to contribute our perspective on branding alongside other respected specialists within the industry was a genuine privilege.

Whilst much of our work happens behind the scenes, helping businesses define their positioning, create stronger customer experiences and build brands that support long-term growth, opportunities like this allow us to share some of that thinking more openly with the wider design community.

As always, our approach is centred around a simple belief: branding is about far more than a logo. The most successful brands are built on clarity, consistency and a deep understanding of how every touchpoint contributes to the overall experience.

We're looking forward to seeing The Mood Board continue to grow and supporting more interior designers through the platform in the future.

A huge thank you to Sophie and the team for having us.
